Information

Symposium Title: Keep the title short but precise enough to describe properly the theme covered by the symposium

Description of topical focus (in paragraph form): This description has to be concise and provide a general idea of the scope of the symposium, its focus, and limits. The proposal must include information about possible joint sessions with other IMRC symposia. If this is a recurring symposium, it is expected that its description is different from previous years, as an evidence of the evolution of the symposium and the possible modifications in its scope. Max 250 words.

Symposium topics (to explain topical focus at a glance in bullets form): Remember, if this is a recurring symposium, this list is expected to be different from previous iterations of the symposium. Max 10 bullets.

Proposed Invited Speakers (include names and organizations): Once the proposal is accepted, this list must be updated frequently as the invited speakers are being confirmed. Consider diversity (gender, geography, type of institution), include no more than 2 speakers per institution, and only 1 speaker from the same department of a particular co-organizer. Avoid conflicts-of-interest between organizers and speakers. Minimum 6 to 8 invited speakers, Maximum 20 to 25 invited speakers.

1.

Symposium Organizers (include information for up to four persons):The symposium organizers must complement each other in areas of expertise and responsibilities. In order to guarantee a truly international vision and an appropriate covering of the topics of the symposium, it is expected that they belong to different institutions, and, if possible, different regions of the world. It is desirable that at least one of the organizers belong to an institution from Mexico or a Latin American country.
The Lead Organizer will be considered as the main contact between the symposium organizers and the IMRC Chairs. The organizer will be in charge of delivering modifications of the symposium proposal, including agreement with other symposia chairs in order to organize joint sessions and other activities. Co-organizers will support the lead organizer in all the activities related to the symposium.
